I've been stuck on Level 5 puzzle 4 for over a week. I thought after so many attempts you're offered a new screen for one of your lives. Dang, I'd gladly do that just to get off this near-impossible puzzle grid.

I can't seem to get past the Hidden Quest on III. I've completed them both but it takes me no where else! What do i need to do?

-- Contributed by: How to enter the Hidden Quest? On III

I am in Jewel Quest III, I can't find the II, or was there one? In III, I have completed the Silver, and Gold is locked so Hidden comes up and yet when I go into the "circles" that you click on are white and not green, when I play them all, it does nothing.. What do I need to do? Help!

I'm still in level 1-5 but everytime it asks me if I want to give up a life, whether I answer Yes or No, it pauses the game and locks up my computer. Has anyone run into this at all? I'm addicted to this thing...I've got to get a life!

CabbitSD: There's likely some sort of algorithm in place that determines which jewels rain down to replace matched pieces. It appears to be mostly random, but it's probably a "weighted" proportion. My own experience has been similar to yours, so I suspect that the difficulty is increased by having your most needed jewels come the least often.

PaulG: All Nintendo DS units have an L key. It is located near the top of the system where your left index finger rests. For this reason, it is often also called the L "trigger" button.

I purchased the Jewel Quest version and just finished all levels. Now starting over I can't seem to clear the board without it telling me NO MORE MOVES. Why does this seem harder than the games at the very top level? lol! It's frustrating me and I don't recall the black eating face coming out in the very first games, and now it's on level 1 game 1. I was wondering if the second time around is different from the first time. Is the game continually changing? Also, a strategie I have found is the if the hidden relics are along the bottom, the align your pieces vertically to get them, if the hidden relics are along the side of the board, then make your alignments horizontal :) Happy hunting!

In order to unlock gold coin credits, the DS requests I use the "L" key. There is no "L" key on my system, none of the other ones seem to unlock he coins.

I am curious to know: Are the pieces, chosen by the computer to replace matched pieces, chosen at random Is there some method the computer chooses to award pieces once matches have been made?... I am convinced that the program (or at least my program in particular) specifically decides which jewels I most need and then adamantly refuses to give them to me. Short of this solitary pattern, I can find none. I was wondering if perhaps there was some "method to the madness", so to speak. Can anyone help me solve this mystery?

I understand that if you want to play a locked board, all you need to do is pick the board you want from the level select screen, and hold the "Alt" button as you press "Enter". I've just now tried it for the first time and it appears to work well enough. However, I am quite stubborn and intend to complete each level in order as they are laid before me. As this cheat is useless to me, I hope someone else may find it of some avail.

Happy Treasure Hunting!

Kathie: To my knowledge, all versions of Jewel Quest have a time limit. There are other similar games that you may want to try that have more of a "strategy" element to them and less of a "time" element. Take a look around at websites like spintopgames.com, jayisgames.com, and Yahoo! Games to see what they have.

Is there any way to turn off the time limit on Jewel Quest? I'm in my 60's and not so great at the speed play games any more. Any clue how I can go about doing this?
