Yahoo Graffiti is like the classic game Win, Lose, or Draw. One player draws while the other players attempt to guess what the player is drawing. The game is fast-paced and full of fun, especially if you get in a good room with four players. The game requires at least three players to play, and up to eight players can compete in team mode, with four players per team. The chat rooms are arranged according to difficulty, so you can decide if you want to play beginners or experts, plus there is a Graffiti tournament available, as well.

How to Play Graffiti

Players take turns being the drawer. When it’s your turn to draw, you will get a list of ten randomly generated words. Sometimes they are easy, like “apple,” and sometimes they require a bit more artistic ability to draw, such as trying to get players to guess words like “the Terminator.” You can go through the words as many times as you want by clicking skip to go to the next word. Once you decide to draw a word, you have seven different colors and the eraser to use. Drawing is as simple as clicking and dragging the mouse pointer across the canvas. Each round lasts either until all ten words are guessed or the two-minute timer runs out.

While you draw, the other players will be entering in their guesses in the box to the side. If a player comes close, you can click on their guess to highlight it. For example, if the word is “trashcans” and someone says “cans,” you can highlight that guess so players know it was close.

As a guesser, all you have to do is type in your guesses as the drawer sketches each word. This is done by typing in what you think the artist is drawing and hitting the enter button on the keyboard. Be sure to watch the guess window and see what other players are guessing, as well, in case one of them gets close.

Scoring

In regular mode, the guesser and the drawer both get 50 points when a word is guessed. In team mode, the entire team gets points when the correct word is guessed.

Team Mode

In team mode, the top four (or fewer) players battle the bottom team of four (or fewer) players. The rules are basically the same as regular play, with two exceptions: you can only guess a word when one of your teammates is drawing, and the entire team scores points, not the individual player.

Graffiti Gameplay

The Graffiti board is set up nicely. The graphics are good enough for a game like this, since most of the game relies on what players draw. A chat feature is located at the bottom of the screen for players to talk during the breaks between games and rounds. There are no sounds in Graffiti.

The Bottom Line

Graffiti is a fast-paced, fun game that provides solid entertainment to players. It’s especially fun if you have a group of online friends to play with rather than playing with strangers, although that can be entertaining, as well. The team function is also a fun challenge for you and your friends. Yahoo Graffiti is fun, entertaining, and never gets old.
