Plot

Untold Legends

On the ancient planet of Unataca, the isolated city of Aven has remained secure for generations on the Watchtower plateau. Beyond the walls of Aven, the ravage wilderness is teaming with menacing and powerful creatures. With the onslaught of strange disappearances and mysterious events, the threat upon the city is on the rise and the utopian haven is in danger of being tarnished forever.

Untold Legends

Gameplay

Even though there are more than 100 dungeons, over 100 species of monsters, and tons of quests and items, Untold Legends isn't as fun as the numbers suggest. You'll spend most of your time running through mazes and slaughtering enemies just to gain levels. It gets old. Fortunately there are a few saving features that make the game worth playing.

Customization gets a high priority in Untold Legends. You can design everything from your character to the weapons you carry. Adding a certain gem or rune to a weapon will give it special powers or add to your abilities. The same is true for any armor you find in the game. Putting a chain on your boots may give you extra strength and a strategically placed gem may give your body armor added defense against magical attacks. Beware, though, because the more stuff you cart around during your adventures, the less you can pick up. Constant trips to Aven to sell your unwanted goods will become a chore, but finding a better weapon is always a joy.

Online Play

Untold Legends

Up to four players can join in together on the Untold Legends adventure as long as they all have systems, the game disc, and a WiFi connection (you will be responsible for any fees). You also have the option of either hosting or joining a game. While each player can save independently, any credit for quest completion will go to the host of the party.

To see the multi-player action for yourself, go to the official site to download Windows media file footage.

Graphics

Untold Legends

Awesome! Stunning graphics make this game totally worth playing and will keep your eyes glued to the screen. The exquisite environments of Untold Legends are highly detailed and each carries a unique style. Every creature you destroy is a true work of art, well-defined and delivered in varying shapes, sizes and species. The human characters, though they are very realistic in appearance, just don't measure up to the rest of the game, but look really great on the loading screens.

Untold Legends Sound & Music

Untold Legends

The crackling fires, screaming skeletons and the lovely sound of gold hitting the ground help make the effects in Untold Legends very pleasing to the ears, but the music will start to grind your nerves after awhile. When the mood is eerie, the soundtrack is great, as less attention is given to the music and it becomes more of a background hum, but embark upon a quest and the extravaganza of melody and harmony just unleashes an attack on your ear drums.

Pros & Cons

Untold Legends

Loading screens will be the bane of your existence, as each one takes a whole twenty-four seconds to finish the job. This is more annoying than the redundant combat, boring NPC characters, and the game's flimsy storyline combined. However, waiting for loading screens provides you with an excellent opportunity to grab a snack, refill your drink and take a much needed bathroom break.
