The 10 games included in Wii Play are Shooting Range, Find Mii, Table Tennis, Pose Mii, Laser Hockey, Fishing, Billiards, Charge!, and Tanks. The no-nonsense named games are easy to learn, but they are addictive and have excellent replay value, especially when you take on your friends. Check out Wii Play Cheats for other ways to get through these games.

Shooting Range

In this Duck Hunt-like game, you progress through levels shooting clay pigeons, bullseyes, and cans. Random ducks also appear for bonus points. To keep your aim steady, use your non-trigger hand to steady your arm by gripping your wrist. This will decrease any shakiness you have and can help you with the small objects like the clay pigeons.

When you are on the UFO level with two players, don't shoot the UFOs that have picked up your opponent. If their Miis are taken away, they will receive few bonus points for losing Miis.

Find Mii

This mini-game can get frustrating if you let it. Whether you are on the timed single-player mode or playing for points, stay calm. Just pay attention to your objective, which could be finding two or more similar Miis, or just finding Miis that are doing certain things.

If you really want to be mean in the two player mode, just read the objective quickly and press A so your opponent doesn't have time to read it. This is not the best way to keep your gaming friends, but hopefully they won't let you get away with that too long.

Tricks to Playing Wii Play Table Tennis

At first, Table Tennis may seem hard to pick up, but if you heed this advice immediately, then you'll enjoy the game much sooner. Keep in mind that you don't need to drastically swing the remote to get your paddle to move left and right. Just move your Remote in small chunks and your paddle will get to the spot you want the same way, without you having to compensate back. This is one of the best tricks to playing Wii Play.

The physics in Table Tennis work like Tennis in Wii Sports: flick your paddle early to get a sharp angle across your body and flick your paddle late to hit the ball at an angle away from you.

Pose Mii

This easy game requires you to turn and tilt your Mii to match up Miis in falling bubbles. If you let the bubbles fall below the zapper, then you will lose points or end the game. There is one simple trick: keep your Mii posed to the Miis in the bubbles so all you have to do is guide your Mii over the bubble to burst it.

Laser Hockey

Keeping a steady hand is how you will succeed in Laser Hockey. It's basically futuristic Pong with a neon laser theme. You control your paddle by not only moving it up, down, left, and right, but also by twisting the remote to turn the paddle to give the ball an angle. Don't get zealous in moving your paddle; use subtle movements to control the ball. The last second before you make contact with the ball, flick the remote to give the ball some speed.

If you're having trouble keeping pace or you are behind, keep your paddle in front of your goal and move your paddle slightly in order to hit the ball. Let the other player make a mistake. Do this until you get your bearings back.

When the countdown occurs, hit the '1' and '2' buttons at the same time and your oval paddle will turn into a circular paddle. This one gives you more control over where the ball will go.

Fishing

There aren't too many tricks to playing Wii Play: Fishing. Your main goal is to just get points. Continuously go for the bonus fish to score maximum points. If you are way ahead, then try to catch more of the smaller fish because they seem to bite more.

Billiards

Billiards takes practice because this viewing this video game version of '9-Ball' in only the 3-D portion is rough. Make sure to switch to the overhead view to line up your shot, then back to the 3-D to see where you want to hit the ball.

The closer you are to the hole, the softer you need to push the remote forward. Remember to actually go forward, rather than angled down, which is a mistake a lot of gamers make.

Charge!

Ride cows and hit scarecrows to get points. Placing first doesn't necessarily mean you will win. You will receive points for each scarecrow you hit and bonus points if you hit all the scarecrows in a group. You also receive points for each second you leave on the clock.

Periodically sprint your cow (about once every five seconds) for about three seconds. You will have good control around corners and can angle nicely if you approaching a set of scarecrows.

Tanks!

Simply practice because this game uses both the remote and nunchuck. Use your barriers wisely and once you shoot an exploding rocket, keep your eye on the trajectory so you won't run into it.

You can shoot five bullets in quick succession, but if you are aiming at a tank, spread out the bullets so that they travel at your opponent in an arc. This is a way to trap them.

Practice! Practice! Practice!

There are no set tricks to playing Wii Play, just methods to playing against people from experience. Use the above tips to improve your gameplay while you figure out different strategies to being the best Wii Player!
