About the Game

The Terminator: The Dawn of Fate is a shooter/action game set in the near future of 2027. Skynet is determined to destroy all humanity. You play a soldier of Tech Com who is on a mission to stop them. Use weapons and hand to hand combat to stop the Terminator machines and others. Research upgrades and unlock special bonus items. This mission-based game will keep you on your toes.

Levels of Difficulty/ Modes of Play

There is only one level of difficulty when you first play the game. Two other levels are available once the game is completed. Only one mode of play exists in The Terminator: The Dawn of Fate. It is a single-player mission based shooter game and not much more.

Fun Factor

If you like the Terminator movies, you will enjoy this game. The Terminator machines look menacing as you try to take them out with various weapons. You can switch between a third-person and first-person view, which is useful in many situations.

If you remember part in the Terminator movies where they flash back to when Skynet took over, you will have déjà vu. There are many scenes where you will run into countless Terminators in dark, heavily battle worn areas. It really gives you a feeling that there was a massive war, and that humans appear to be in a losing battle against them.

During play, the Heads Up Display shows your current status in Health, Armor, Adrenaline, and Ammunition. It also shows the weapon you currently have equipped.

Combat is mostly weapons and hand-to-hand combat. Some of the weapons you have available are: Plasma Baton, AP50, PLM40, Canister Bomb, C4 Explosive and the Turret Gun. . I really enjoyed using the Turret guns because you can sit there and blast at them as the walk towards you.

As you progress through missions, you can accumulate points by finding Skynet technology. With enough points you can upgrade your Adrenaline, Armor, Health and Weapons.

Each Mission level has bonus items. The more awards you earn, the more bonus items will be available. Bonus material is as follows: Concept Art Gallery, Music Gallery, Threat Assessment Data, and DVD extras.

If you are having problems with sound, video or the controller you can go to the Settings menu and adjust them to your preferences.
