Tetris Remix
From LoveToKnow VideoGames
Finding a Tetris remix is easy. The game has been around for over 20 years, so it was inevitable that musicians and DJs would remix the main theme of Tetris. From the Game Boy tin sound to the 8-bit sound of the Commodore 64, no version of Tetris was safe. In each of the theme songs, the basic melody was used, but you may find that drums, orchestration, other keyboards, and brass instruments have been added to parallel the times.

Peer to peer sites could be your main source because most of the Tetris remixes are hard to find and aren't usually included on CDs. Use the search term "Tetris Remix" because searching by artist will only get you that artist's most popular hits. Other sites you can look into are iTunes and Rhapsody.
Tetris Self Remix
If you would like to remix Tetris music, there are a few things you will need. First, you need to find an MP3 or WAV version of the theme. You can find the theme available for download all over the Internet, but your first search should be any of the above mentioned sites.
Second, you need remixing software like the eJay series or even Fruityloops.
Next, you need an ear for cool. This can come with practice, because you can add drum loops, melodies, and orchestration as you go. If it sounds good, guess what... leave it in. Try to remix the Tetris theme with Hip-Hop or even Bubblegum pop. It can be done. Tetris has such a basic hook that you can fit any style of music with it.
For Fans Only
Since 1986, Tetris has gained a huge following year after year. Most people turn off the music while they play Tetris, but that's only because it's infectious. It was only a matter of time before it was remixed and why not? Everything else gets remixed. The Super Mario Brothers theme got remixed, and many Commodore 64 games got a music-lift into something modern. Next will be the Contra theme or Tomb Raider. When will the remix of Pitfall occur?
