Super Smash Bros. Brawl Cheats

The only way that you're going to get any better in this fantastic fighting video game is through practice. When you're up for the challenge, go online and do battle with brawlers all around the world!
Unlock Characters
The initial selection of Super Smash Bros. Brawl characters is already pretty impressive, granting you access to the likes of everyone from Mario to Pikachu, but there are plenty of unlockable characters as well.
For each of the unlockable characters described below, you will have to satisfy the provided criteria and then defeat the character in battle. Also note that there may be alternate ways to unlock these characters as well.
- Solid Snake: Play 15 matches on Shadow Moses Island
- Luigi: Finish Classic mode without continuing
- Sonic the Hedgehog: 300 total Brawl matches
- Captain Falcon: Beat Classic in 12 minutes or less
- Jigglypuff: Clear SSE and Events 1-20
- Lucario: Complete all five target tests with a character
- Ness: Reflect ten projectiles in battle
- Falco: Finish 100-man brawl
- Mr. Game & Watch: 250 Brawl matches
- Toon Link: Beat SSE then complete Classic mode with Link
- R.O.B.: Get 250 different trophies
- Marth: Clear Classic on any difficulty
- Star Wolf: Win in Boss Mode with either Fox or Falco
- Ganondorf: Finish Classic on Hard with Link or Zelda
Choose Special Combatants
Did you know that you can directly access some of the special characters in this third Super Smash Bros. game?
To start with a particular Pokemon using Pokemon Trainer, use your pointer to tag that Pokemon after placing your token on Pokemon Trainer.
To start the match as Zero Suit Samus, choose regular Samus and then hold the appropriate button until the match begins. Gamecube/Classic controllers should hold R, Wii Remote with Nunchuk should hold Z, and Wii Remote alone should hold Minus (-).
To start fighting as Sheik, choose Zelda and then click on Sheik's portrait.
Free Virtual Console Trials
It's not quite the same as getting the full games through the Wii Virtual Console, but you can access some short trial versions using the following Super Smash Bros. Brawl cheats.
- Donkey Kong: Play the game for over 10 hours total
- Super Mario: Win five regular matches with Peach
- Super Mario World: Play Yoshi's Island at least three times
- F-Zero: Clear the Subspace Emissary having used Capt. Falcon
- Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Fight as Toon Link 10 times
Hidden Assist Trophies
As you may already know, there are Assist Trophies in Super Smash Bros. Brawl that you can deploy during the battle. These extra characters come out and help you win the fight in some way. Beyond the ones that are available from the beginning, there are at least six more that can be unlocked.
- Shadow the Hedgehog: Unlock Sonic
- Barbara: Unlock 25 or more audio tracks
- Gray Fox: Unlock Snake
- Ray MK III: Complete 100 brawls
- Isaac: Complete 200 brawls
- Advance Wars: Play 300 brawls
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Easter Eggs
What Nintendo game would be complete without a couple of extras for the fans? These bonuses make the game even more fun and timeless.
Just like in Animal Crossing, you can get a free concert from K.K. Slider in Brawl. If the internal clock on your Wii is set to a Saturday between 8:00pm and midnight, the guitar-touting dog will play a song in the background of brawls fought on the "Smashville" stage.
Although this serves absolutely no purpose, you can get characters in the game to engage in a conversation mid-battle. This only works for certain characters on certain stages. For example, you can play as either Fox or Falco on either the Lylat Cruise or Corneria stages. When this happens, quickly tap down on the D-pad and a dialog will appear. The two other instances of this are with Star Wolf on Lylat Cruise and Snake on Shadow Moses Island. This does not work on the Wii Remote only control scheme, however.
