Super Mario Sunshine Hints and Tips

Prevent dying in the game

• Pause the game and choose the Exit Area option, where you will be teleported to the beginning of the level. This might not work if you're in mid-air.

Location of Sirena Beach

• Play Yoshi then go to the roof above the fountain where you started the game. A huge pineapple will be stuck in the chimney. Eat it and drop down the warp pipe to reach the beach.

Secret Manhole location

• Find it on Plaza Delfino’s Beach, just near the second umbrella. Find a LifeMushroom inside along with some coins.

Get extra lives

• Everytime you beat a level, go to the water where the boats are. Now, dive to the bottom where you will see a 1-Up mushroom.

How to jump higher

• First run in one direction then turn around. Now jump into the air. Mario will not only jump higher, but he will do flips too!

The Spinning Jump

• Jump, then turn the analog-stick once in a circle

Sprinkler Water Spray

• Execute a spinning jump, then hold the R button

Yoshi’s Spritzer Squirt

• Press the R button, then press the A button.

How to swim faster

• During swimming, switch to the hover nozzle and press the R button. This gives you a bit of a boost.

How to avoid losing health when falling

• Falling from high places can be tricky. To get around it, press L to do a Ground Pound. It will make you fall faster, yet you will not lose any health.
