About Spartan Total Warrior

Spartan Total Warrior is one of the most addicting, action-packed adventure games you can play. Set in 300 BC in ancient Greece, you were abandoned at birth for an unknown reason. Raised by a set of twins, Castor and Pollux, you train and become a great warrior.

In the beginning of the game, the city of Sparta is going through turmoil and upheaval. The Romans have set their sights on this city as the grand conquest of their empire. You are thrown into battles with scores of Romans attacking you from all sides. Your friends help you and fight along your side. You hear the voice of Ares, the God of War who promises you great power and strength if you help him exact his vengeance on someone. You don’t know whom Ares is so upset with, but you decide to help him anyway. As the story unfolds, the Spartan who wants to help his homeland finds out about his mysterious past, and goes forth to fulfill his destiny.

Difficulty Level/Modes of Play

There are three levels of difficulty, Easy, Normal, and Hard. Spartan Total Warrior has a bit of a learning curve. Many actions require a two-button combination, which may make it a bit confusing at first. The game also offers an Arena section, where you can battle different opponents until you are defeated.

Combat style is similar to the game God of War. You fight with melee weapons and use magic that is received as the game progresses. The Spartan gains levels after completion of game chapters. He starts off as a warrior, later becomes a Hero, and later a Legend. The points you receive can be distributed into three categories – Health, Strength and Power. Eventually these categories will be filled to the max when you reach the level of Legend.

Fun Factor

Spartan Total Warrior is a fun, challenging game. Your opponents from start to end of the game are not easy to defeat. That is why it is important to save your game at every checkpoint. You will spend a lot of time in massive battles that seem to have overwhelming odds. Fortunately, you will get magic weapons as you complete certain game levels.

Depth/Length of Game

The length and depth of Spartan Total Warrior is immense. The challenges of each level will keep you playing this game for countless hours. The game just draws you in. Time will pass unnoticed. Family, friends and loved ones will be neglected.

Graphics/Audio

The graphics are fantastic. You will be immersed in big battle scenes with ruined buildings, unusual terrain and numerous different characters. The blood and gore is not held back. You will see soldiers getting their heads chopped off, with blood spilt everywhere and numerous corpses of recently killed opponents.

Sound effects and music soundtrack in Spartan Total Warrior enhance the game. The music sounds like something out of a blockbuster action movie. Combat sounds are vicious and dramatic.

The audio dialog in the game is enhanced with text on-screen. The characters speaking seem like bad lip-synching though.
