One the most attractive things about Soul Calibur 3 for the PS2 is that there is just so much you can unlock in this fighting game. You may start playing with a small handful of characters, but keep slicing and dicing, and you'll soon find yourself among a stable of 30 world (and not so worldly) warriors. But wait, there's more. Unlockable: Characters
| Abyss | Defeat him after Olcadan, Yoshimitsu, Rock, Lizardman, Sophitia, and Cervantes are unlocked, or alternatively, engage in 725 battles. |
| Abelia | Clear Chronicle 18 in Chronicles of the Sword, or fight 1050 matches. |
| Aurelia | Complete number 12 in Chronicles of the Sword, or engage in 900 battles. |
| Cervantes | Defeat Cervantes in Tales of Souls, or have 625 matches. |
| Chester | Clear Chronicle 19 in Chronicles of the Sword, or engage in 950 battles. |
| Demuth | Beat number 10 in Chronicles of the Sword or engage in 850 battles. |
| Greed | Defeat him in Tales of Souls or fight in 500 battles. |
| Hualin | Defeat him in Tales of Souls or have 750 matches. |
| Hwang | Beat him in Tales of Souls or engage in 600 battles. |
| Giradot | Complete Chronicle 15 in Chronicles of the Sword or have 800 battles. |
