About Seed

Seed will be a massively multiplayer online RPG of a different sort. The developer calls it a "story playing game" and wants it to be a part of a new genre of online video games. Player (both human and NPC) interaction is emphasized along with dynamic storylines and a customizable experience that moves and evolves based on player actions.

Seed takes place in the far future on a colony tower in another solar system. The colonists should have moved to the planet's surface long ago, but something is wrong. Terraforming has come to a halt and no one can leave the tower. You, the players of Seed, must decide the future of the colony.

Seed isn't your typical MMORPG. It emphasizes character interaction and a deep storyline. Non-player characters, NPCs, will play a major part in the game and are thus more believable.

Seed downplays the usual MMORPG elements of combat, character classes and standardized quests.

Graphics

The first thing you'll notice about Seed are the wonderful graphics. The developers have created a 3D comic book-styled video game. But don't expect flat drawings and two-color characters. The graphics in Seed are realistic enough to be believable but styled in a way that's very pleasing to the eye. Check out some early screenshots on Seed's official website. • Interactive Stories - Based on how you play Seed, the game will present you with different stories and quests to complete. No standardized adventures or canned ideas in this game.

• Realistic NPCs - Non-player characters, or those controlled by the game, are famously flat and plain boring to talk to in most role playing games. Seed aims to be different by introducing dynamic dialogue with NPCs with a full range of emotions and nuances.

• Evolving game world - The sci-fi setting allows for lots of imagination and immersive gaming experiences. Using a system of voting weighed with player actions, the overall storyline progresses and evolves based on what the game's characters do.

• Personalized characters - Seed has a deep character creating engine that allows players to fine-tune appearance and starting skills before leaping into the game. Skills can also be combined to create new abilities!

Facts

The developers of Seed hope to release the game in April of 2006. Betatesting will begin in early February. Keep your eyes peeled for this amazing new gaming experience!
