Pokemon Emerald Secrets

The Mystery Gift

• Go to a pokemon mart and press the letter A that is displayed on a piece of paper on the counter. Type in “Link together with all”, then the counterperson will tell you the mystery gift is unlocked.

Cute Charm’s love potion effect

• If you have a pokemon with Cute Charm, it will draw wild pokemon of the opposite sex to them.

Compound Eyes bonus effect

• If you have a pokemon with compound eyes, the wild pokemon you draw in will have more items on them.

How to hatch eggs faster

• Use a pokemon with the Flame Body or Magma armor and the time it takes to hatch an egg will be cut in half.

The two effects of the Swarm ability

• First, it raises the bug-type attacks by 150% when your character is weak or low in level. The other thing it does is makes pokemon cry in the background more frequently.

Keen Eye and Intimidate’s second ability

• If you have a pokemon with either of these abilities, your encounters with wild pokemon are reduced by 10%.

How to find pokemon in the Battle Frontier

First travel to the Battle Palace in the southwest corner. Next, surf to the other side where you will see a lady and a pathway that leads to a weird looking tree. This tree is actually a Sudowoodo and you will need to battle it to get to the pokemon. Use Wailmer Pail on it. Once you defeat it, surf on the area it was blocking past a waterfall to the Artisan Cave. Inside you will find a bunch of goodies and the Smeargle pokemon.

Access Special Unlockable Pokemon

Note: Some of the following pokemon can only be caught by triggering certain events like beating the Elite 4 or finding a needed item.

Rayquaza

• Get Kyorgre and Groudon out of the cave by using Magma and Aqua. Then go to the Sky Pillar.

Mew

• Obtain the Old Sea Chart, then go to the Faraway Island

Ho-oh/Lugia

• Obtain the Mystic ticket, then go to the Navel Island

Castform

• Go to the weather institute and take out the rival team

Kyogre

• Defeat the Elite 4, and then go to the sea lair.

Latios or Latias

• Use a Ruby or Sapphire with the Eon ticket to mix records. Then go to the Southern Island.

Chikorita, Cyndaquil or Tododile

• You can access these Pokemon only after you complete the 200 Pokemon of Hoenn. Then Professor Birch will contact you on your Pokenav for further instructions.

Treeko, Torchick or Mudkip

• The wild Pokemon are keeping Professor Birch captive! Help him escape them.

Deoxys

• Obtain the Aurara ticket, then go to the Birth Island

Beldum

• After you beat the Elite 4, go to Steven’s house
