Perfect Dark Zero is a sci-fi action first-person shooter game set in the year 2020. You are Agent Dark Zero, a bounty hunter and secret agent in training. Zero works for Data Dyne and is sent out on several missions using high-tech weapons and equipment.

Perfect Dark Zero - Fun Factor

As an agent, you rely a lot on your wits, athletics and weaponry to succeed in each mission. The moves are slick, and the controls are easy to use. As you move around through each location, you are given assistance through voice messages. You will also never get lost, since the game will show you the correct path to follow and the areas where you will need to perform actions. This is great since the places you go are rather large.

Stealth is an important skill to learn in Perfect Dark Zero. Many times you will be sent out to identify crucial individuals, but you do not want to be seen. Use cover (press A) when an area you can hide behind becomes available. Another good tool to use on a mission like this is the scope that can zoom in on a target from a distance (LT button). The scope is also good for taking out threats from a safe location.

Weapons. Your standard piece is the P9P gun that holds 9 rounds with silencer capability, along with a secondary function as a flashlight. Later in the game, you will encounter more powerful weapons, and can switch them at any time.

Fast moves can keep you alive. Dodging, diving and crouching are important to learn. Enemies will relentlessly shoot at you until they are taken out. When you are outnumbered, using these moves can help you get to a safer location, closer to your target, or keep you from certain death.

Graphics/Sound

Consistent with the quality of other Xbox 360 titles, Perfect Dark Zero impresses even the most critical player. The detail is amazing. I can’t get enough of that scope! Sometimes just playing the game my eyes begin to water just from staring at it too intensely!

The game soundtrack is upbeat and modern. Depending on the location, the mood of the music varies a bit. In one mission, you are staking out a club, and as you get closer you can hear the strong rhythmic beats. The voices, attitudes, use of slang, and personality of the characters also seem to be consistent with current times.
