PS3 Bundles

You can find a PS3 bundle, just like you can find a bundle for any next generation system that's out there right now. PS3 bundles are probably easier to find than Wii bundles and offer more selection than the Xbox 360 bundles that are available. Also, you might even be able to find some special homemade bundles at your local video game retailer based on refurbished PS3s.

You can find many PS3 bundles at Amazon. While buying them new won't save you a huge amount of money, you might consider going with one of the used options, which can save you even more. Not all the bundles will have used choices, but some do.

• With the Stealthy Bundle, you get a 40 GB system, controller, remote and the games Assassin's Creed and Uncharted.
• The Burnout Bundle also has a 40 GB system. You also get a wireless game control recharger and the games Burnout Paradise and Ratchet and Clank: Tool of Destruction".
• Here's an example of a PS3 bundle that is from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. In the NBA '07 bundle you get a 60 GB system, an HDMI cable, an extra controller, and NBA '07.
• If you're looking for a fighting and war bundle, then look no further than this PS3 bundle on Amazon. You get an extra controller, an HDMI cable, a 60 GB system, and the games Call of Duty 4 and Fight Night: Round 3.

Sony has announced that there will be a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots bundle for $499. You get an 80 GB version of the PS3 system, the above mentioned game, and a Dualshock 3 controller (you would assume the controller). This is scheduled to be released in June 2008, along with the release the game.

Walmart.com has a Gamer's Choice bundle that includes the 40 GB system, two games, and one optional accessory. Before you go clicking to Walmart.com, it's interesting to note that the accessory isn't free: there is a set amount that is added to the price. While you get a discount on the accessory (keeping the bundle a package price), you will pay $20-$40 more depending on the accessory. There is a nice selection of games, ranging from the 2008 versions of EA games to action games like Rainbow Six.

If you are into importing games, and a huge fan of Devil May Cry 4, then you may want to import a special package from Japan. With this package, you get either a ceramic black or white 40 GB system plus the game and a Blu-Ray disc full of additional content. This PS3 bundle became available on January 21st, and still is in abundance.

Two bundles are being released in Europe in 2008. The first is the Gran Turismo: Prologue bundle. You get a 40 GB system, the game, and a SIXAXIS controller. The second bundle is just a Movie Bundle with the 40 GB system, a SIXAXIS controller and the movies 300, Spiderman 3, and Casino Royale.

Back in the day, when video game companies wanted to hook you, they included games with their systems. There was a period of years where that stopped. Sure it was just a business decision on the companies' parts; they have to make money too. Soon, the games started reappearing in systems, known as Bundle Packs. Also, the consoles or handheld systems had some special edition artwork and color and quickly became a collector's item. This hurt gamer's pocketbooks, but at least gamers can now pick something possibly unique to them. The PS3 bundles out there appeal to certain core gamers of a particular game, but there's so many to choose from, you are sure to find something just for you.
