About Overlord The Game

For those of you who don't know, Overlord is one of the best games to be released in 2007, boasting features from a variety of gaming genres. Although it is technically listed as an action-adventure game, Overlord also has aspects of real-time strategy, RPG, and platform-style video games.

In a nutshell, this title places you in control of the Overlord who must conquer the neighboring lands currently ruled by corrupt ruling heroes. You do this by commanding your growing army of minions, learning new skills and gaining new abilities along the way. You can also upgrade these minions and their abilities, which is where Overlord Velvet comes into play.

Rose and Velvet: Two Sisters For Your Affection

Velvet from Overlord is one of two sisters who are vying for your affection. Before you have an opportunity to meet and unlock Velvet, however, you are first presented with her sister Rose. She is a potential mistress for the Overlord. Rose is strong-willed, unafraid, and dresses rather conservatively. In some ways, you could think of Rose as the "safe" choice.

Rose will also offer a fair bit of advice over the course of your epic adventure. Rose is generally well-mannered, polite, and has good organizational skills, and later gains the ability to help improve the brown and blue minions under your control.

However, meeting her sister is where things really get interesting. As is the case with so many other role playing games, you are given a choice. Velvet can be considered the more evil choice. The corruption feature -- similar to that found in Fable -- gives you this option to be more evil.

Velvet can be thought of as Rose's polar opposite. Instead of being well-mannered and helpful, Velvet dresses much more provocatively and is much more lustful than her sister. She is also very demanding, firmly requesting presents and gifts from Overlord. Another key difference is that Velvet is more inclined to provide improvements for the green and red minions, rather than the brown and blue ones. Overlord Velvet also refers to these minions as pixies.

How to Unlock Overlord Velvet

This video game is about choices, so you will eventually be presented with the opportunity to choose between Rose or Velvet. Here is how you can choose Velvet.

1. Kill the Succubus Queen.
2. Grab the statue in the spawning pit room in your tower and take it with you.
3. Leave the bar, head down the stairs to the right down the path.
4. Break the wall to form a bridge.
5. Follow this path and kill the zombies.
6. Head around the castle and follow the path up the stairs to the spawning pits. Go inside.
7. At Angelis Keep, you'll be yelled at by Sir William (who will run away).
8. Kill the Red Dawn guys until you see Sir William again.
9. Attack Sir William until he leaves. Kill the Red Dawn that emerge, eventually following where Sir William went.
10. Kill the two succabae.
11. Follow path until you see a red wheel missing a spoke. Beyond this door is Velvet. You can't go in yet.
12. Head around the path and kill Sir William.
13. Grab the red spoke so you can turn the wheel.
14. Head back to Velvet's room and open the door.
15. Choose Velvet by having your minions grab the bed.

And that's how you unlock Overlord Velvet! Be forewarned that she's evil!
