Bowling
- Don't count out the Zoom function. Press up on the directional pad and you'll see a dotted line aiming towards the pins. Use that to get a better release angle.
- To get more consistent strikes, try to hit between the head pin and one pin back on the right. The best way to do that is to move your player over four or five clicks (about the fourth line from the right or left, depending on if you're right- or left-handed.
- Practice your spins. Twisting your wrist will cause the ball to spin in one direction or the other, so practice learning how far to twist to get the best spin.

Nintendo Wii Sports tips for Tennis
- To execute a fast serve, you have to hit the ball when it is at its peak. This takes some practice, but you’ll get it. Don’t hit the serve with a follow-through; instead, flick your wrist.
- Placement of the ball is possible. As the ball is coming towards you, swinging the remote soon will hit it at a sharp angle more parallel to you. Swinging late will angle the ball away from you. Either of these methods work very well at the net when the ball is getting passed between opponents rather quickly.

Golf
- On the third hole, hit your ball into the small section just off the tee. It will take low power because the small area is surrounded by an out-of-bounds area. Then you can get it to the green in two strokes, therefore getting an Eagle on that hole.
- Press 1 to see how the terrain looks and press 2 to kneel down and line up your shot.

Boxing
- Timing is more important than speed. Trying to constantly punch your opponent will get you tired quicker and won’t allow you to throw a lot of punches. Counter attacks cause a good amount of damage. When your opponent punches and misses and the screen blurs a little and you hear a WHOOOSH, throw that punch! You are given a second or two to react and if you do, POW!
- Learn some Nintendo Wii Sports tips on how to perform roundhouse punches and the uppercut. For the roundhouse, aim the remote down a little and arc your arm around the side. You should see the virtual arm swing way out and nail your opponent if it connected correctly. For the uppercut (which can be tricky) point your remote down and punch upward from the body. This punch is hard to execute at first, but once you get it down and can time it, you will cause a lot of damage.

Baseball
- You can use a Nintendo Wii Sports tip to hit consistent home runs by only hitting the fast balls and swinging upwards with the remote.
- To hit those annoying bouncers that sail right over your infield when the computer does it, swing straight down with your bat.
- If you are beating the computer by 5 or more points, the pitcher will start to sweat, causing him to make more mistakes.
- When you see an exclamation point appear over an opponents head, the pitcher has thrown something he didn't want to. This is your perfect chance to hit a home run!
- Just like in real baseball, vary up your pitches to confound opponents. The slider is a good pitch to throw more often than not because it is deceptive in its height: it looks like a strike, but sinks quickly.

Go for the Gold
After you play the main games, check out the practice mini-games, which can really improve your skills if used correctly. Each game has 3 mini-games related to dexterity, strategy, and pure skill. Do well in each and you could win a bronze, silver, or gold medal, depending on your score.
If you're tired of competing, then simply go for fitness gold by playing those portions of the game. You will sweat because you are getting fit, not because you are 50 pins down in bowling.
