Nintendo DS Web Browser Opera
From LoveToKnow VideoGames
Rumors that the Nintendo DS would receive a web browser have long been hovering on the internet. Nintendo's own Reggie Fils-Aime recently hinted that someone was working on a browser for the Nintendo DS, and that if no one would do it, Nintendo likely would. Well, it looks like someone is doing it: Opera Software.

The Web Browser
Opera Software announced just after Valentine's day that it will release a version of the popular web browser for the Nintendo DS. The software will allow users to surf the internet with full access right from their DS. The browser will be sold as a DS card and will be as easy to use as playing a DS game.
Touchscreen functionality was also mentioned in the recent press release. An on-screen keypad can be used to type with the stylus, making DS surfing easy and intuitive.
Word on the street is that this Opera-based browser will hit shelves in Japan sometime in June with a price tag of around $30 USD. When and whether it will hit North American shores is still up in the air.
No further details were announced about the availability of the Opera DS web browser. Watch this page for more news as it happens!
