General Gameplay Hints

Boss Cars

Some events are listed as a Boss Race. Win the race under the gold difficulty rating to win the boss’s car. You can get a 1969 Charger, Subaru Impreza, Corvette Z06, and a Nissan Skyline R34. The cars will show up in your Pocket Garage after winning the race. When purchasing cars, don’t buy the aforementioned boss cars because you’ll be wasting your money. The 4 boss cars have their own garage and won’t take up space in yours, thereby giving you a total of 24 cars. Also, you can’t complete the game with 100% if you do buy them.

Complete the last race of a series to get bonus parts.

Nitrous Run Races

In the Nitrous Run races, if you timer is running out and you haven’t used all of your nitrous, push the button to release it, giving you lots of speed. When your timer runs out, you coast for a while before you finally stop. This might be enough for your to cross the next gate. Also, if you are going at a tremendous speed into a hard turn, let off the gas as you enter the turn. You ride along the wall instead of hitting it and flipping your car.

Driving Tips

Take out Rivals

Use the first lap to see who’s racing the best, then on the second lap, ram them into a wall or make them go headfirst into a pylon or something similar. They’ll stop or spin out of control while you drive on and the other racers pass them. At that point, the computer seems to be more concerned about not being in last place. I have won many races using this method, especially during the harder ones. The computer never seems to catch back up to me if I don’t make any mistakes.

Drag Race Hints

The straightaway drag races are pure speed, so just make sure you’re shifting efficiently. On the couple of high-speed drag races that incorporate small lane shifts, make sure your fast car is topped out in the handling department, otherwise, you slam into the wall. One other hint it to use your rear view to block lanes of the faster cars and to keep them behind you in the same lane.
