Tired of just choosing plays and passing footballs? Think your sports games aren't involving enough? EA Sports has a little surprise coming in the spring of 2006. NFL Head Coach promises to be a new experience in strategy sports gaming. You are the head coach of a football team and must manage every aspect from the ground up. Reruns of Coach move aside, NFL Head Coach from EA Sports is about to take over.
New Football Experience
EA Sports is widely known for their football franchises, including the ever-popular Madden NFL Football series and NFL STREET. With NFL Head Coach, EA Sports is introducing a new experience to compliment their already strong lineup of games.
What can you do in NFL Head Coach? Well, for starters, you'll be the brains behind the desk, the drill sergeant on the practice field and the screaming madman from the sidelines during the games. Put together a stunning team and formulate a strategy, then pummel your opponents on game day. Each year you build your organization and try to be the best in the league. Based on your actions your reputation as a coaching legend will rise or fall, so try to keep the referee slander to a minimum.
Football for All
EA Sports designed NFL Head Coach to satiate the needs of both hardcore football fans and casual Monday Night Football viewers. It's also exciting news to fans of fantasy football games which, until NFL Head Coach arrives, have been limited to text-heavy simulation games or old fashioned pen and paper.
Although the game targets a wide audience of casual and experienced gamers alike, NFL Head Coach promises not to overwhelm anyone. Easy controls and an extremely intuitive interface allow anyone to dive into the experience. Once you're hooked, an increasingly deep strategy unfolds for you to sink your teeth into.
Fantasy Football's Evolution
Madden NFL Football brought the excitement and thrills of gridiron play to our fingertips. Choosing plays, passing, catching and crashing through the defensive line became the bread and butter of sports games. However, the brainier bunch of the sports crowd were huddling around numbers and boning up on player stats playing fantasy football. These games have traditionally been simple, text-heavy simulations that require a vast knowledge of both the game of football and the players within. Not only is this daunting to beginners, but even the pros get a headache now and then.
NFL Head Coach aims at blurring the line between pages of football stats and neck-crunching tackles. Taking the role of a head coach and using the simple but powerful controls, players are finally able to build their team brick by brick, play by play. Leave paper shuffling behind and give your brain a workout while salivating at 3D graphics. The satisfaction from obliterating the competition will be even greater when every aspect of your team is yours to customize.
Can spring 2006 come too soon? We think not.
This game really sounds interesting.
