In the Beginning

If you want to have a Mii that resembles you, then it may help to have a picture of yourself for reference. Name you Mii, pick your favorite color, and decide whether you want your Mii to mingle. Mingling allows your Mii to visit other Wiis; they'll show up in games or when your Mii is put on parade.

Quick Mii Creation Methods

In Mii creation, remember that you don't have to stay within the limits of what the Mii creation program allows you. For each of features, you are able to move then left and right, rotate them, and increase and decrease the size. For example, you can move a set of eyebrows all the way down to the chin or move the eyes so they are on either side of the nose.

A good starting point is the eyes, then the nose. The mouth is the hardest feature to replicate. There are few choices, though you can either make your Mii cartoony, or more cartoony, depending on the one you select.

There are many choices for hair. The boy's and men's hair are listed first and the girl's and women's hair are on the last couple of pages. Switch it up the traditional styles for something different.

Some Fun Ideas

• Over-exaggerate by making one feature insanely huge or depressingly miniscule.
• For that over-inebriated look on any Mii, add some rosy cheeks.
• You can move the mole almost anywhere on your face. This could make for some interesting Miis.
• In your Mii creation, you can get that Zelda look by adding a mustache, turning it blond, then raising it above your eyes. Then separate them so half of the mustache is hanging off the side of the face.
• Want to look like a nerd? Put some glasses on your face, then lower them so they are at the end of your nose, then find the messiest hair you can find.

A Little Bit Lazy?

If you don't have the time to create your Mii because you are such a handsome fella or pretty woman that no Mii will ever represent you, you can have someone else do it. For $5, you can have The Mii Station create your Mii based off of a photograph you send them. The website sends you your Mii through your Wii ID, but you can still use the service if you haven't been able to find a Wii in stock or just haven't jumped on the Wii bandwagon.

One often-overlooked feature is the mingle option. If you are a big online gamer, having a good group of friends to play against is necessary. Since Wiis are still in short supply, letting your Mii mingle on other Wii can net you some online players. When in trouble, let your Mii do the talking!
