Game Play Summary

On paper, Marvel Nemesis was supposed to be one of the greatest games based on the Marvel universe ever made. There are ten playable characters, online capability, multiplayer gameplay, tons of unlockables, and a well written story mode. This game was supposed to be fantastic. But sadly it isn’t. The attack styles are very basic. The gameplay is very easy at one point, but then quickly changes to being impossibly hard the next moment. The fighting system is very disappointing. There are very few combo attacks and very basic moves. After a while, it seems like you're just doing the same thing over and over and over again.

The Verdict

When you first start, this game can be quite enjoyable. You're happy with the characters and the unlockable comics and cards. But, after a while, you get bored of using the same character and everything starts to seem the same. Bosses are incredibly hard compared to most of the stages and take several tries to beat. Overall, though, you end up using the same strategy of picking things up and throwing them at the bosses. This repetition really takes away from the game, and ultimately makes it not worth playing anymore. Big thumbs down.
