Last Minute Holiday Video Game Gifts

Looking for a great video game related present for your fanatic friend? Or are you Santa Claus looking for a few good ideas? We've got a few nice ideas on the hottest titles that will brighten anyone's spirits. And they're easy to find for all of us procrastinators out there.

The three big handheld video game systems on the market, the Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance and Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) are all pretty hot this year. If you're looking to pick up one of these systems for a friend, here's a bit of info on each.

• Price: $79 for GBA SP, $99 for Game Boy Micro. Go for the SP unless you need something really small.
• Games: In addition to the huge library of games already available, a few promising titles recently hit the market. Final Fantasy IV Advance is a sure-fire win for any teenager or above. Mario Power Tennis Advance and Dr. Mario / Puzzle League are also winners that are appropriate for kids too.

• Price: Brand new Nintendo DS systems retail for around $135, give or take.
• Games: Many great games were recently released for the DS. Animal Crossing: Wild World, Mario Kart DS and Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga are appropriate for all ages and gamers of any taste. Also consider Nintendogs, an unforgettable game that lets you own and care for a puppy!

• Price: The Sony PSP retails for around $250.
• Games: Prince of Persia: Revelations and WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006, both released this month, are getting rave reviews for the PSP. Also check into UMD movies so your happy PSP-owning friend can watch a good film on the go.

The three console systems available today, the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube, all make excellent gifts. And with new systems coming next year, prices are extra low this holiday season. The Xbox 360 is hot, so hot that finding the system is impossible. For some good ideas for games on each system, look below!

• Price: Xbox systems retail for around $149 this holiday season.
• Games: Two Sonic games, Sonic Heroes & Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and Sonic Mega Collection Plus & Super Monkey Ball' are good recently released choices you might consider. Halo and Fable are classic hits that you can't go wrong with.
