Kawa Cheat Codes and Walkthrough

The mysterious game Kawa has you trapped in a surreal set of rooms with no real way to escape. You move through room after room witnessing strange events by clicking on seemingly random parts of the screen. Is there a way out? Are there more secrets to be found?

Kawa Cheat Codes and Guide

In each room, you have a number of possible paths to choose from. Sometimes a choice will lead you backwards, sometimes forwards, sometimes in a completely strange new direction. After each click a new set of options may appear. Use the nested lists below to know what is possible at what time.

Here's a sample layout:

• Room name (possible clicks: option1, option2)
  • Option1 - Indented description of what happens after you click the above.
    • Outcome - More options that appear after clicking the above.
  • Option2 - An alternate to Option1; can only be clicked at that time.
    • Outcome - More options that appear after clicking the above.

The Walkthrough

• After the opening sequence, a white box appears on the screen with Japanese text in the center. Mouse over it to translate it to English, then click it to continue.

• A white plus sign forms; click the center.

• White Room (possible clicks: Center, Floor, Roof)
  • Center click - Unknown error message.
  • Roof click - Man moves upwards into unfinished looking room and email address on board which he points towards. Only clickable area is triangular prism on left wall near bottom.
    • Click the prism and the man moves it to reveal a doorway through which he steps. He enters a room similar to the White Room at the beginning but with only clickable surfaces to the left and right.
      • Click the right wall and a pipe appears, which the man looks at and then blows on. This expands the room from the left side which grabs him and returns you to the White Room.
      • Click the left wall and a door opens which leads into a dark room. This dark room is further explained in the second part of the walkthrough...see below.
  • Bottom center - A trap door opens, a man steps out and stands beside it.
    • Click the trapdoor to close it and send a red ball bouncing around. It eventually lands.
      • Click the ball - The man walks toward it.
        • Click the ball - Ball rolls around the room and returns to its original position.
      • Click the man - He kicks the ball. It bounces off the wall and he explodes.

Scene changes to a red room with a man smoking in the corner.

• Red room (possible clicks: Man)
  • Click the man - He tosses the cigarette and moves beside the chair.
  • Mouse over chair - Man tips it back and forth.
  • Mouse over man - Chair rotates.
  • Click the man - Chair tips and turns into a woman.
    • Click the woman - She shrinks and turns into a fly.
      • Fly lands on the left wall - Click it to open a door there.
      • Fly lands on the right wall - Click here to go right.

If you chose to go left...

• White room with white man (possible clicks: Left wall, Right wall)
  • Click left wall - Room rotates to the left. Kawa's opening sequence plays in the background and the game eventually restarts.
  • Click right wall - Man walks to left side of the room.
    • Click man - Tries to break the wall, then walks to the center of the room.
      • Click man - Jumps.
        • Click man - Walks back and forth.
          • Click man - Sprints to the camera and lunges. You return to the red room with the smoking man.

And if you click the fly on the right wall...

• White room (possible clicks: Door)
  • Click to open door
  • Click man - He points right
  • Click the wall - A door opens to the right. Click again to go through it

You exit to the right and find...

• White room with music and someone dancing (possible clicks: Yourself, Dancing person, Radio)
  • Click the man - He says "hi". Repeat two more times to shout louder.
    • Mysterious key appears - Japanese text with "stop", presumably a hint on what to do next.
  • Mouse over dancer - He dances faster.
  • Mouse over, then click red button on radio - Stop the music to open a door north
    • Mouse over man - He dances. Click the door to exit.

Walkthrough - Part 2

The second part of the walkthrough is filled with many more options packed into each room. Read carefully!

• Another white room (possible clicks: Ceiling, Right wall, Back wall, Floor)
  • Click ceiling - Trap door and ladder appear. Click to climb. In the resulting room, all walls show an X when you mouse over.
    • Left wall - Wall falls and the man walks down hall with arrows pointing right.
      • Click arrow - A giant man walks up.
        • Click giant - He stomps the small guy, then a noise frightens him and he runs to the camera.
          • Blank white room (possible clicks: Right wall, Left wall)
            • Click right wall - A tube appears.
              • Click the tube - Inflates the left wall. Game resets.
            • Click left wall - Enter a dark room.
              • Click flashlight - Shines light on wall.
                • Click ceiling - A movie plays. Man sets flashlight on the ground.
                  • Click man - Climbs beam of light. Game resets.
    • Right wall - A string drops.
      • Click man - The man tugs the string.
      • Click string - Strangles the man; click X to stop.
      • Returns to the room.
    • Back wall - Walls enclose and crush the man. Click "Back" to return.
  • Click Left - A hand grabs and pulls the man into a dark bedroom.
    • Click switch - The lights come on.
      • Click bed - Man floats in the air.
        • Click man - A hand pulls him back to the white room.
      • Click back case - A man pops out of the case and shoots himself.
      • Click middle box - Slides and hits back case.
      • Click switch again - Game resets.
      • Click large front box - Skeleton walks out.
        • Click little guy - Shoots a giant with an arrow. The giant falls and kills the man.
          • Click again - Spirit rises; click "Back" to reset the room, "Next" to restart the game.
  • Click right wall - buzzers appear
    • Click to zoom on the man and white wall
      • Click man - says "lets' go" and offers back or next
        • Next returns you to the beginning
  • Click floor - The man nails hole in floor and the room floods.
    • Click the hole to go to the red room with the smoking man.
  • Click back wall - The man draws a door and returns to previous room.
