Gold Skull Locations and Functions

Collect those skulls!

Black Eye is in Crow's Nest and when activated, melee tactics replenish your shield energy.

Catch causes enemies to throw more grenades. It is in The Storm.

Famine is in The Ark. Dropped weapons hold less ammo when it is activated.

Fog is in Floodgate and it disables the motion tracker.

Iron, located in Sierra 117, sends you back to the beginning of the stage when you die rather than the last checkpoint.

Mythic causes all enemies to have double health. You can find it in the Halo stage.

Thunderstorm is in The Covenant and it provides all enemies with a higher rank.

Tilt, found in Cortana, makes enemies more resilient.

Tough Luck is in Tsavo Highway, granting enemies better skill at dodging projectiles.

Multiplayer Ranks

In order to proudly display your achievements in the online multiplayer portion of Halo 3, you'll want to unlock the highest multiplayer rank possible. Below is a table that outlines the amount of Skill and Experience needed to advance to each rank in the game. You do not have to achieve each level individually; if you fulfill a higher requirement, you may skip a rank. There are 41 Halo 3 multiplayer ranks in all.

Halo 3 Special Ending

Finishing the game normally isn't enough, is it? In order to unlock a special ending to the Halo story arc, you need to complete Legendary mode. Interestingly, it is not necessarily to complete the entire game in Legendary mode in order to access the special ending; you just have to finish the final stage on that setting.
