Note: To activate the following codes, go to the title menu in Guitar Hero II, then press the appropriate color button sequence on your Xbox 360 video game controller. These codes should also work on the Sony PlayStation 2 version with the corresponding buttons

Miscellaneous Cheat Codes
How to unlock Face Off Mode
- Beat the game in Medium or higher.
Play the Scythe with most characters
- First you need to unlock the Grim Ripper. Select him, then another character that has their outfit unlocked. Note: The only characters that cannot play the scythe are Clive Winston and Xavier Stone since they do not have any unlockable outfits.
Make the Grim Ripper play the Gibson Les Paul Guitar
- Assuming that the Grim Ripper is unlocked, select him in Career mode and then exit. Now go to Quick Play Mode and choose any song you like and start playing or quit just after it begins. At this point when you go back to Career Mode, the Grim Ripper will have the Gibson Les Paul Guitar. To get him to play the scythe again, just go back to the “Change Guitars” menu and select it.
