Even the most hardcore rocker likes to get an extra edge on their favorite Guitar Hero game. Here are some cheat codes that will give you some extra goodies and awesome god-like power.
Note: To activate these codes, press the Guitar Hero controller color-coded sequence or PS2 controller sequence shown below at the main menu.

Note: Beat the following career levels and/or star rating to unlock the following guitars

Other Tips
Here are a few tips that will help and add to your Guitar Hero play:
- To unlock the Pro Face-Off Mode, complete the game on Medium, Hard or Expert.
- If your audience has your rock meter in the red, use your star power to gain back their favor.
- Use the Practice mode to help you nail those tough sections that are keeping you from moving on.
- The Training mode is a useful tool to show you beginning and advanced techniques to help you become a real Guitar Hero pro.
- Beat every difficulty level and get Slash as a character.
- Use the whammy bar to boost up your star power bar during those long notes.
- If you are having a difficult time tilting your guitar to activate the star power, the select button also does the trick.
