Girls of Gaming

From LoveToKnow VideoGames

There are many girls of gaming. In video games, more and more female characters are becoming protagonists. This is fine with most of the boy and man gamers, because it is sometimes better to look at a video game vixen than it is to look at male main characters. Besides, the game developers are making the girls tougher and with awesome fighting skills, as well as giving them abilities that were once given to male characters. Below are some of the popular girls of gaming, some of which have become household names.

Girls of Gaming

Lara Croft, Tomb Raider

She's fast, tough, and hot. That's all you need for this girl of gaming. She has been the leading lady for the Tomb Raider series from the beginning. She finds treasure, kills the bad guys, and makes you wish you were an anthropologist. She has been doing this for over 10 years and she hasn't aged at all. And don't forget to check out her long pony tail. Thank you, Eidos.

Ivy, Soul Calibur

Ivy uses a funky sword that can separate itself into pieces of shards connected by a chain. Now if that isn't sexy and weird enough for you, then you need to stop playing video games. She always appears to be wearing an S&M outfit and isn't afraid to kick you with her high heels. Oh, and she wears a body suit (sometimes with a thong). She's easily one of the most interesting girls of gaming.

Nariko, Heavenly Sword

Heavenly Sword for the PS3 has Nariko, a red-haired beauty who romps around in flowing gowns, slashing bad guys with her special sword. Her hair flows past her waist and is fun to see when she is jumping around enemies or sliding down bridges.

Cate Archer, No One Lives Forever

Do you remember this game? It takes the term Bond girl literally. No One Lives Forever was a FPS that came out in early 2000s and starred Cate Archer, who basically was a female James Bond. She was a spy on vital missions to save the world. She was simply cute and fun.

Yuna, Final Fantasy

In Final Fantasy X, Yuna was the main character. She is a beautiful and confident woman who knows what she can do. She can summon powerful creatures and this is nothing to scoff at, despite her size and stature. She hates being sad and will often hide this emotion. Although she doesn't voice her opinions strongly, she knows what she wants and will take whatever ethical means to achieve success. Sometimes we just need someone like that too, right?

Princess Peach, Mario Bros.

Okay, there's nothing wrong with enjoying a girl of gaming who looks more like a cartoon than anything. She has been the damsel in distress since the inception of the Mario Bros. game and finally got her own game as the main character in 2006 called, Super Princess Peach. Sometimes a cute, bubbly, and nice girl is the way to go and Princess Peach is all that.

Princess Zelda, Legend of Zelda

Princess Zelda is a tall woman; well, tall in relation to her species. Novice gamers to the Zelda universe tend to confuse her with Link, the actual main character in the Zelda series. Princess Zelda is a member of Hyrule's royal family. The stories in the games often revolve around her, usually because the fate of the world depends on her survival. Sometimes you get to interact with her directly and other times she is just in the background.

Many Girls of Gaming

Girls have been in video games since the beginning. Who was Mario rescuing in Donkey Kong? See, case closed. And let's not forget about Chun-Li from Street Fighter.

As technology gives developers the ability to create characters that look and act real, there will undoubtedly be better and more realistic girls of gaming on the horizon. The PS3 has some of the best graphics around and has great potential, but any girl in any video game can be the one you like play or watch. You don't need to be thinking about video game sex to enjoy what that girl of gaming offers.
