From Russia With Love, the classic James Bond film from 1963 starring Sean Connery, is making the leap to the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube this November. There's action, there's stealth, there's multiplayer madness, there's Bond girls... Best of all, this third-person action game features Sir Sean Connery himself!

The Game

From Russia With Love is everything previous Bond games were and more. Think of it as a buffet with all your favorite foods splayed out before you. Based on the original film of the same name, From Russia With Love features new plot twists, new gadgets, items, weapons and much more. The single-player game is a tossed salad of stealth, gun fights, hand-to-hand combat, jetpack action and driving some classic vehicles in heart-pumping scenes. You'll gain weapon upgrades as you play, lending a feeling of progression to your missions. Also expect to find complicated and dramatic traps throughout the game, such as speeding trains that can end your game or gas chambers that slowly knock you out.

Multiplayer mode is just as exciting. Deathmatches and Survival modes offer you a chance to use the weaponry without using your brains. Hook up with three friends and go at it. Don’t' miss the Dogfights option -- pure jetpack fights that will blow your mind.

Both game modes offer an extensive point-purchase system where players can buy different items. One of the more interesting things you can pick up is a gun turret you can place anywhere that will spray your opponents. Not too bad.

Actors

Sir Sean Connery is making his video game debut by lending his voice and likeness to From Russia With Love. Also appearing for the first time in a video game are TV star Maria Menounos and UK pop star Natasha Bedingfield. No polygon ladies for Bond this time.

Release Info

The PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of From Russia With Love ship on November 1. GameCube owners have to wait a few weeks for their version, as do PSP owners. EA has promised a meaty game for us to sink our controllers into, and From Russia With Love looks like it could be a full meal and a half.
