Phonics

Phonics has three different modes to teach your child letters by sounding them out. Step one is Teach. The computer says a letter, shows it, then your child repeats the sound. That's it. Cute pictures appear that correspond to the letter. For example, a Television is shown with T. Step two is Sound. The computer sounds out some letters, and your child repeats them and then finds the letter the computer wants. See is step three. Your child is shown an object and he or she must pick the letter that begins that sound. Phonics uses the tried and true method of sounding it out to teach reading. Count It Out

Your child can learn how to count with Fisher-Price's Count It Out game. First pick your sport (soccer, football, hockey), then choose how far to count (5, 10, 15). A cute character kicks footballs through a goal post, kicks soccer balls into a net, or slaps hockey pucks past a goalie, then yells out the score. Your child is encouraged to repeat the number. The character will kick goals up until your max score. This game is basic, but with its barrage of cuteness and support, Count It Out will get your kid counting to 20 in no time.

In this game, you help a good old fisherman catch some fish. The computer tells you how many you must catch and then your child clicks the mouse over a fish and drags it to the fisherman's net.
