In Fable, you begin the game as a young boy and are charged with a simple quest: earn some gold to buy your sister a birthday present. You have several options as to how you earn said gold, and your choices change the outcome of the game. Your character ages visibly throughout the game, as well as encountering increasingly complex dilemmas.

This game is the latest work of the legendary designer Peter Molyneux. As you work through the game's situations, you solve problems with your ethical decisions to take good or evil actions. These decisions affect your character and your subsequent situations.

Fable is a role playing game with strong action-adventure gameplay elements. It is played in third person. In addition to the classic adventure scenarios, it features realtime combat situations.

You start the game with some rudimentary magic – a lightning attack – but you can use your experience points to purchase many other spells as well as spell upgrades.

The game's controls present a bit of a learning curve, however once you master it, you will be comfortable with the remainder of the game.
