Sega Dreamcast Video Game Reviews

Although it has been out of production for a number of years, Sega Dreamcast video game reviews are still very popular. This is because the Dreamcast was home to many legendary games that cannot be found anywhere else. As a result, the system has been able to earn a cult-like following from enthusiastic gamers.

The Sega Dreamcast was largely considered to be ahead of its time. Through fantastic arcade ports and other unique titles that played differently than anything else at the time, the Dreamcast offered an experience that was unparalleled by competitors.

Sega, the longtime rival of Nintendo in the hardware market, pushed the Dreamcast out the door almost a year before suitable alternatives from other companies arrived on the scene. It was Sega's last console, following up on the less successful Sega Saturn, and it was meant to compete against the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation One.

Unfortunately for Sega, the Dreamcast did poorly in sales. While it did last, however, it was able to offer a surprisingly robust library of interesting and unique video games. A portion of these have been captured through these Sega Dreamcast video game reviews.

The relative power of the Dreamcast could be demonstrated through its ability to render smooth 3D graphics, a feat not yet achieved by Nintendo or Sony. Titles such as Soul Calibur and Sonic the Hedgehog were star examples of this power. The system also shipped with several accessory add-ons that became popular years after its failure.

Although the Sega Dreamcast is no longer being produced and its games have run dry, there is still a large selection of titles available on the Internet. If you are a Dreamcast aficionado and are looking for a few new games, check out the reviews linked here. The games may be harder to find than before, but some searching through eBay and other online outlets can turn up some great gems.
