Game Boy Advance Video Game Reviews

No mention of the portable gaming market would be complete without an extensive discussion of Game Boy Advance video game reviews. This incredibly influential system served as the home to many treasured titles both old and new.

It is not difficult to find some really fun Game Boy Advance games since the library was so vast. That's because the Game Boy Advance (as well as the Game Boy Advance SP that came after it) is backwards compatible with the entire Game Boy library that came before it. This meant that players could not only approach GBA games, but also titles from the original Game Boy and the Game Boy Color.

The biggest innovation introduced with the GBA in 2001 were the amazing, Super NES-quality visuals. This represented a huge step beyond the monochromatic display of the original Game Boy, so it's not surprising that many Game Boy Advance video game reviews focused on these great graphics.

Among the more treasured games to grace the Game Boy Advance were Golden Sun, Fire Emblem, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cup, Mario Kart Super Circuit, and Metroid Fusion, as well as a large range of Pokemon games. The sheer variety of titles available for the GBA is positively astounding, offering games that are as simple or as robust as players desire. The small size and versatility also make the Game Boy Advance one of the finest handheld systems ever released.

Offering a retro appeal is the Classic NES Series. These Game Boy Advance games are remakes of titles that were originally released on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Some games from this series are Castlevania, Dr. Mario, Excitebike, Super Mario Bros., and Xevious. This was as close to a portable NES as Nintendo enthusiasts were able to enjoy, until powerful emulators arrived for other devices like the Nintendo DS and even the Apple iPhone.

In many ways, the Game Boy Advance paved the way for the Nintendo DSi and the Sony PSP. Take a stroll down memory lane and enjoy some of its classic titles.
