Tricks
Crash Mode
When playing the Crash mode, pay attention to the introduction sequence. It shows you where you can go to get a maximum score. Usually there are two major sections of cars that you can destroy as well as moving cars that will idiotically hit your pile-up.
Usually you cannot completely hit both areas without destroying your car, but what you can do is guide the traffic on the first section and then move on to the second section. You can do this because you can hit traffic that is moving with you without exploding. As you near a heavily driven area, start shoving cars into oncoming traffic. They will bounce around and hopefully start a chain reaction. Keep your eyes sharp because on most of the tracks you have to be quick, otherwise you'll miss the second opportunity.
Vertical Takedowns
These chances come more often that you think and help you in your rank. WHENEVER you see a ramp, take that route. The A.I. usually stays close to you because they are pretty stubborn and won't let you get far ahead. Keep in mind that you can steer your car in the air (how the physics for that work, I'll never know) so if you see an opponent 'float' towards them. You don't have to hit perfectly, just enough to clip them. Obviously, don't take the ramp if you're far behind.
