Secret Tapes

Find and scan all 5 databank items in a level to unlock the secret for that level. When all the secrets have been found, the final secret is revealed.

Hard Difficulty

Complete Campaign mode under the medium difficulty setting.

Gray Alien in Multi-Player Mode

Successfully complete campaign mode under the hard difficulty setting.

Life Or Death: Alien Grenade Upgrade

Search the dead soldier in one of the elevators where Cole starts the level to find a small key. Use it to open the small lockers in the first conduit pit to find a databank item. It will upgrade the grenades so they will now track targets.

The Grays: Well-armed Sharks

Proceed to the fourth room in the level, where you see the monorail you entered the level from out of the window. Push the computer console there and it will say “Lifter Activated”. Go back outside the monorail and you can now stand on it. Run to the back of it and you’ll be warped to a weird room with sharks that have machine guns attached to their heads.

Defeating Grays

To defeat Grays with shields, mutate and fire parasites at them. The shields will come down faster than any other weapon you might use.

Defeating the Super Beast

Instead of going straight at him, run around in a circle. When he gets near an explosive barrel, shoot it. It will do more damage then the BBG.

Defeating the Theta

To defeat the Theta, first ensure your Mutagen bar has a full charge and you that have at least ¾ of your health remaining. In case you need them, there are health powerups available where you fight it. Enter the room where he is as a mutant and fire parasites of melee the Leapers that come after you. Using parasites on the first few restores your health and using melee on the rest works well to keep your mutagen full and also leaves the health powerups for later if you need them. Don’t hit the barrels, you’ll die instantly.

There are about four waves of Leapers to deal with. Then the Theta will appear. Fire a few parasites at him, then move in close to melee him. Your mutant form makes it easy to hit him and dodge his attacks. Repeat the parasite/melee attacks until he is dead. Be careful of his jump attack (the only one to really be concerned about) because it does a lot of damage.

Interesting Scans

During your training levels, scan as many characters that you can. You’ll find some interesting equipment on the MPs, including adult diapers and condoms.

Hold Right Analog-stick Down until your scanner stops moving and you seem to be looking at your feet. You can now scan yourself and get information on Cole.
