Cheat Codes
To enter codes in Animal Crossing go to Tom Nook's store and talk to him. Select the "Other Things" option, then select "Say Code". This will open the cheat code screen in which to enter all of the following codes.

This is the best code for getting bells. There are other codes and other methods, but this is by far the easiest.
Fossils
You can donate fossils to fill the museum and you can sell them to Tom Nook for bells. Fossils can also be placed as objects in your house, but they don't do anything except sit there. Listed are the codes for all the fossils in the game as well as their value.

Hints & Tips
Unlimited Raffle Tickets
Buy things from Tom Nook and he will give you raffle tickets. Turn around and sell the item to him and get your money back.
Money Trees
When you dig up a glowing spot on the ground, plant a bag of money in the hole. After a few days, a golden "Money Tree" will grow in the spot. The amount of the bags depends on the amount of the bag that you buried.
Treasure Island
In order to do this trick you must own a GameBoy Advance (or GBA SP) and a GameCube Link Cable. Store items in the other hut on the island if your house is running out of space.
1. Empty your pockets and load them up with fruit.
2. Connect GBA to Gamecube and turn it on.
3. Go to the pier in the south of your town.
4. Talk to the turtle in the boat and ask him to take you to the island.
5. On the island, drop all of the fruit in your pockets. Try to place in spots that are open and free of trees.
6. Go back to the island's pier and tell Kapp'n (the turtle) that you want to leave and ask to have the island data transfered to your GBA.
7. On the GBA, use the cursor to knock on the door of the islander's home then grab a piece of the fruit that you dropped earlier.
8. When the islander comes out of his or her house drop the fruit in front of them. The islander should eat the fruit and should continue to eat all of the fruit that is on the ground on the island. If the islander doesn't seek out to eat every piece of fruit simply drop the pieces in front of him or her. The islander will start to drop increasing amounts of money bags in place of the fruit; up to 30,000 Bells. Once all of the fruit has been eaten let your GBA return to sleep mode, but do not turn it off.
9. On the GameCube, leave the pier screen then go back and ask Kapp'n to take you to the island again to collect the money bags.
Other Island Tips
You can also collect coconuts from the trees on the island and sell them to Tom Nook for 500 bells each. Bury a few on the shoreline to provide you with the fruit without having to travel to the island to get it. Coconuts can also be shaken from the trees to be eaten by the islander, but you will have to make several trips to collect all the money bags if you filled your pockets earlier.
Get a tan by visiting your island in when it is really sunny (the middle of the day is a good time). Stand somewhere without shade and do not move 10 or more minutes then go inside one of the island homes to the bronze tint on your skin. You must do this every week to maintain your tan.
Shells
Shells can be found along the shore line and a few of them are worth a decent amount of bells. The less valuable shells make great gifts to send with letter to your pals in the village.
Wentletrap - 20 bells
Porceletta - 30 bells
Lion's Paw - 40 bells
Sand Dollar - 60 bells
Venus Comb - 150 bells
Coral - 250 bells
