After you pay off the loan, you can upgrade your house to get more space for all that stuff you collect. From expansions to additional rooms, here are all the upgrades you can obtain and their loan price to the right.- Expand House (1st) - 19,800
- Expand House (2nd) - 120,000
- Upstairs Room - 298,000
- Left Room - 598,000
- Right Room - 728,000
- Back Room - 848,000
Golden Tools
Upgrading your regular tools to Golden Tools is a rewarding experience, because it makes them unbreakable. Sometimes you'll have to do a little work to get the shiny versions, but it's well-worth it to have bragging rights! Each tool gets different added ability when they are golden.- Golden Fishing Rod - Catch every fish in the game at least once. This slows the response time of the fish.
- Golden Net - Get every bug in the game at least once. This net is twice the size of the regular one.
- Golden Slingshot - From time to time, gifts attached to balloons float by on the top screen. Use the slingshot to knock them down. Once you've nabbed 15, the next present will contain the Golden Slingshot that shoots pebbles in a spread pattern.
- Golden Shovel - Buy two shovels, then bury one. The next day, dig it up to get the gold! This allows you to plant Money Trees. The chance of the tree growing is dependent on the amount of money you plant.
- Golden Watering Can - Keep your town perfect for 16 days, then talk to Pelly or Phyllis at the Town Hall. This turns wilting roses into golden roses that will never wilt and that Tom Nook will buy for 2,500 bells.
- Golden Axe - This one requires some work. Buy a red turnip from Joan, then give it to Wendel when he comes to town. He'll give you the Turban or a Country Guitar. Give the Turban to Sahara when she stops by and she'll give you the Massage Chair or a Red Vase. Take the chair and give it to Tortimer for the scallop. At a random time once every week, a character named Pascal wanders the beach. Take the scallop to him to obtain the Golden Axe. Unfortunately you have to have the items listed to get the scallop. If you get the other items, give the vase to Crazy Redd for a Safe, then trade the safe to Tom nook for his picture. Take the guitar to K.K. Slider to get his pic. Whew! This axe is unbreakable.
Nook's Store Upgrades
As you buy items from Tom Nook's shop, each bell you spend is added to the tally. When you've spent certain amounts (indicated here), Tom will close his store for a day to upgrade to a larger and flashier store with more items for you to buy.- Nook's Cranny - Available from the start.
- Nook 'n' Go - 25,000
- Nookway - 65,000
- Nookingtons - 240,000; A visiting friend (Wi-Fi or nearby) must have bought something from the store as well.
Snowman Puzzles
Colored Feathers
At your Town Hall, Pelly or Phyllis tell you there's a town called Boondox where the people are so poor they eat dirt! Won't you, compassionate gamer, contribute to their cause? Donating gives you a fuzzy feeling inside and unlocks different colored feathers, based on the amount you give, for you to proudly display to envious visitors.

In wintertime, your village is covered in snow. Each day you'll come across two small snowballs sitting on the ground. Roll one around the snow until it barely moves when you push it. Then, roll the other one to a good size and push it nearby. It'll hop on top of the big ball and poof, a snowman is born! If the proportions are correct, the Snowman will give you an item from the rare snowman set, which consists of: a bed, chair, clock, dresser, fridge, lamp, sofa, table, TV, wall and wardrobe.

Multi-Player Delight
Playing Animal Crossing in other people's towns serves many extra secrets that helps to boost the overall gaming experience.
- Always take the fruit from their town back to yours. Fruit from other towns sell for 500 bells at Tom Nook's. But don't be greedy! Bring some of your town's fruit along with you.
- Leave some of your patterns in their town for the people living there. It would be best to ask the person hosting first. Not everyone wants their patterns taken down.
- Check out what the date is there. Most players may set the time up or down, allowing different bugs and fish to appear, along with events to occur.
- Look at Tom Nook's shop in their town. Their stock will be different and buying an item will help them upgrade to Nookington's, as listed above in Nook's Store Upgrades.
- Check their town for rare guest and items. You never know who or what you will find!

-- Contributed by: @_m(YTo get a spider, you have to shake alllll the trees you can see until you see a bug come out of the tree & you catch it with your net. (: it might be a spider. but i could only find one... so i don't know how many you can actually catch. i've looked everywhere, though. ):
